VENTURE AI LTD builds AI software for e-commerce businesses and operates Venture Agent, an AI customer support and operations service for merchants. We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 14711101. Our registered office is Leepark House, 449 Chester Road, Manchester, Lancashire, M16 9HA, United Kingdom. We are the controller of personal information collected for our own website accounts and inquiries. Contact details are at the end of this policy.

2. Who this policy covers

• Website visitors who browse ventureai.org.uk or contact us.
• Merchants who sign up for or try the Venture Agent service, and their team members.
• Shoppers of those merchants. When a merchant connects a store, we process shopper information on the merchant's behalf and under the merchant's instructions. For those shoppers, the merchant is responsible for its own privacy notice, and shoppers should contact the merchant first with privacy requests. We will help the merchant respond.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact details such as your name, email address, company name and store URL when you sign up, fill in our contact form or email us.
• Account details, optional phone numbers, securely hashed passwords and messages associated with your website account.
• Messages and feedback you send to us.

Store data you connect

When you connect a store, Venture Agent can read the data you authorize, such as products, inventory, orders, order and shipping details, customer contact details, support conversations and store policies. We use it only to provide the service to you. Access is read-only unless you explicitly allow Venture Agent to write changes back to your store.

Information collected automatically

Our servers record basic technical information, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, to keep the website and service secure and working. This website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

When you sign in, an essential, secure session cookie keeps you logged in for up to seven days. Signing out revokes that session. Cloudflare hosts this website and stores website accounts, profiles and inquiries. Our authorized team can read and reply to inquiries.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect or store payment card numbers from you or your shoppers.

4. How we use information

• To provide, operate and support the Venture Agent service, including generating AI drafts, replies, reports and content.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and investigate problems.
• To communicate with you about your account, your trial or plan, updates and support.
• To improve the service using aggregated usage information that does not identify shoppers.
• To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your store data or your shoppers' data to train AI models.

5. AI processing

To generate a draft or analysis, Venture Agent sends the relevant part of your store data (for example, a shopper's question with the related policy and order) to the AI model provider we use for that task. Providers process this content only to return the result to us, under contracts that restrict other use. AI output can be wrong, so Venture Agent keeps a person in the loop: store changes and non-routine replies require your approval.

6. Who we share information with

• Service providers who help us run Venture Agent, such as cloud hosting, AI model providers and email delivery. They may use the information only to provide services to us. A current list is available on request.
• Platforms you connect, such as Shopify, WooCommerce or your email provider, when you ask Venture Agent to read from or send through them.
• Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, shoppers or others.
• Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

7. Data retention

We keep account information while your account is active. When you disconnect a store or close your account, we delete the related store data within 30 days, unless we must keep it longer to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege access to protect information, and we record AI drafts, approvals and sends in an audit log. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify affected merchants of a security incident as required by law.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email us. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

• California residents: we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
• EEA and UK residents: where we act for ourselves, we rely on contract, legitimate interests and consent as legal bases. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. International transfers

Our company is registered in the United Kingdom. Information may be processed in the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

11. Children

Venture Agent is a business service and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above. If changes are significant, we will tell merchants by email.
